The 2:6 in Davos on Wednesday was followed 24 hours later by a 2:5 in Ambri. The Leventines led 2-0 after just six minutes and 3-0 after the first period, with Michael Joly (2nd), Jesse Virtanen (6th) and Miles Müller (17th) scoring the three goals. Ambri got off to a flying start and benefited from the fact that their opponents looked exhausted from the previous evening and the long journey.

When Servette reduced the deficit to 2:3 within 42 seconds in the final period, Ambri responded just 40 seconds later with Chris Tierney making it 4:2.
