After two defeats, Genève-Servette returned to winning ways at home against Ajoie. The result was an undisputed 6:1 victory against the team at the bottom of the table.

Due to the "Escalade", the Geneva team played in special jerseys. The festival commemorates the successful defense of the city against Savoy troops in 1602. For Ajoie, the packed Les Vernets Hall in Geneva proved to be an insurmountable fortress on St. Nicholas' Eve.

After the home team took an early lead with a goal from Sakari Manninen (5th), the visitors managed to equalize through Cole Cormier at the start of the middle third, but Servette responded promptly and pulled away to a decisive 4:1 lead by the 34th minute. American Jimmy Vesey and Finn Sakari Manninen scored twice for Geneva.

After a less than uplifting trip to the other end of Switzerland with defeats in Davos (2:6) and Ambri (2:5), the first week of December ended on a conciliatory note for fourth-placed Geneva. However, Ajoie's interim high with four wins in the second half of November already seems to be over. The bottom team in the league went into the international break with two defeats.
