Geneva-Servette remains a force at home in the National League. In their only game on Thursday, the Grenats won 3-1 against the SCL Tigers.
The third-best home team against the third-weakest away team - but it wasn't as clear-cut on the ice as it was on paper. In the middle third, André Petersson equalized Simon Le Coultre's early lead for the Emmental side.
The SCL Tigers missed out on victory in the final period when they were unable to capitalize on a one-and-a-half minute double overtime. Servette did better: Jimmy Vesey struck for his part in the powerplay with just over six minutes remaining. Tim Bozon, who had assisted on the first two goals, then made everything clear in the empty net.
The team from Langnau thus continues its winning streak after the national team break. They have now alternated between losing three times (away) and winning twice (at home). Perhaps their legs were a little tired after the 3-0 win the night before. Servette, on the other hand, have had a ten-day break.
