Ski jumper Simon Ammann looks forward to participating in the next World Championships

Simon Ammann will be traveling to the Nordic World Ski Championships for the 13th time next week. Despite not fully meeting the selection criteria, the four-time Olympic champion has been selected for the World Championships in Trondheim.
Among the Swiss ski jumpers, only Gregor Deschwanden and Killian Peier fully met the criteria. The 43-year-old Ammann has only been in the World Cup points twice this season - both times in 30th place - and last jumped in the Continental Cup.
Juri Kesseli and Yanick Wasser have also been selected. Only four jumpers will take part in each competition.
