Simona Waltert is among the top hundred tennis players in the world for the first time. The 24-year-old from Graubünden is ranked 98th in Monday's world rankings.
Waltert earned her way into the top 100 by winning the ITF 100 tournament in Lisbon the week before last and reaching the quarter-finals of the Challenger tournament in Cosenza, Italy.
Due to the ten-day Masters 1000 event in Beijing, there was no WTA ranking last Monday.
