Sina Frei achieves a second premiere at the Mountain Bike World Cup in Lake Placid.
24 hours after her first victory in the short track, the Zurich native made it onto the podium for the first time in the Olympic cross-country. The victory went to Freis' Austrian Specialized team colleague Laura Stigger in the sprint of a group of four.
For Alessandra Keller, winning the overall World Cup for the second time in three years at the season finale next weekend in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada, is now just a formality after finishing 9th.
