Sina Siegenthaler is on the podium for the second time in the World Cup in Beidahu, China. The Bernese skier finished 3rd in the snowboard cross.
The 24-year-old advanced to the final by finishing 2nd in both the quarter-final and semi-final, each time being overtaken by the eventual winner Charlotte Bankes. The Swiss athlete also led the British athlete in the final at the first intermediate time, but then fell back.
This is Sina Siegenthaler's second podium finish in the World Cup after her surprising victory in Cervinia in December 2023. There was no Swiss success in the men's event, although Kalle Koblet reached the semi-finals. The man from Graubünden ultimately came eighth and last in the small final.
