Ski cross racer Johannes Rohrweck suffered a serious injury in Val Thorens on Thursday at the start of the Ski Cross World Cup and will miss the Olympics.

The Upper Austrian suffered a fractured tibia and fibula in his left leg after a fall in the semi-final. This was announced by the Austrian Ski Association following an examination.
Rohrweck, winner of two World Cup races, fell in the finishing bend without any outside influence.
