Emma Aicher takes her first World Cup victory. The young German wins the second downhill in Kvitfjell in Norway with a lead of three hundredths over the American Lauren Macuga.

Lara Gut-Behrami and Corinne Suter were able to improve on the previous day, but it was still not enough for the podium. The duo, who had to settle for 12th and 14th place respectively on Friday, improved to 8th and 9th place.

Lara Gut-Behrami was promising up to the last intermediate time, but ended up half a second behind in the bottom section of the course - a little too much in a race with close time gaps at the top. Priska Ming-Nufer was the third-best Swiss athlete. With 15th place, the Obwalden native achieved her second-best result this winter.

The 21-year-old Emma Aicher had already achieved a premiere in the first downhill in Kvitfjell. Second place was her first ranking in the top three in the World Cup. Now she has become the first German Alpine racer to win a World Cup downhill since five years ago and Viktoria Rebensburg's success in Garmisch.

Cornelia Hütter completed the podium. The Austrian missed out on repeating her victory from the previous day by 19 hundredths.
