Just like last year, Dominik Paris celebrates a double victory in Kvitfjell at the end of the speed season. After the downhill on Saturday, the Italian also won the super-G on Sunday.

As on Saturday, Paris had the hundredths on his side. In the downhill, it was 0.19 seconds that decided the battle with Franjo von Allmen in favor of the South Tyrolean. In the super-G, Paris was 0.07 seconds ahead of Vincent Kriechmayr, who once again made a name for himself as a specialist for spring races and also climbed onto the podium twice within 24 hours.

However, the competition on the Olympiabakken slope once again lost out to Paris. The now 36-year-old record winner won for the seventh time in Norway's World Cup venue, and for the third time in the super-G. A second Austrian, Raphael Haaser, completed the podium. The 28-year-old World Championship silver medallist from Saalbach lost 38 hundredths to the winner.

As on Saturday, Alexis Monney finished just behind the podium on Sunday. While the Fribourg racer was six hundredths off third place in the downhill, he was now 28th. It was only the second time in the seventh super-G of the season that the Swiss came away empty-handed. Only in Beaver Creek did the Swiss-Ski athletes finish behind the podium. Stefan Rogentin was the second best of his team in 6th place and once again proved his consistency. He has finished in the top 10 in every Super-G this season.

Surprisingly, Olympic champion Franjo von Allmen and world champion Marco Odermatt were unable to compete for the top places. Von Allmen left the line more than once and finished tenth, 1.73 seconds down on Paris. Odermatt did not get up to speed at all and had to settle for 19th place, almost two seconds behind Paris. For the man from Nidwalden, it was his worst ranking in the super-G for more than four years. In March 2022 - also in Kvitfjell - he finished in 28th place.

Odermatt had already secured victory in the discipline after the races in Garmisch and Courchevel were canceled.
