After Lara Gut-Behrami, Lauren Macuga is another top specialist who will miss the whole season with a cruciate ligament rupture.
The American Lauren Macuga suffered a torn cruciate ligament in training and will miss the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, as announced by the US federation.
Macuga is one of last season's rising stars. The 23-year-old from Park City (Utah) won her first World Cup race in a super-G in St. Anton in January, took bronze in the same discipline at the World Championships and finished second on the podium for the first time in a World Cup downhill in Kvitfjell in March.
