  • Marco Odermatt wins the super-G in Crans-Montana.
  • Alexis Monney finishes second, 28 hundredths behind. Dominik Paris reaches the finish with the third fastest time.
  • Franjo von Allmen loses time after a mistake and finishes in 7th place.

Marco Odermatt remains on the winning track in the Super-G. The world champion from Saalbach wins in Crans-Montana, Alexis Monney in second place ensures the next Swiss double success.

Odermatt, celebrating his 45th World Cup and eighth win of the season, triumphed in the 2027 World Cup venue with a 0.28 second lead over his brand colleague Monney.

The Stöckli duo secured the first double victory in the World Cup for the Swiss ski company. Dominik Paris followed in third place (0.39 back). This is the Italian's first podium finish this winter.

Von Allmen not on the podium after a mistake

Odermatt in second and Monney in third had already impressed in the downhill in Crans-Montana the day before. Only downhill world champion Franjo von Allmen was faster than these two on Saturday. However, after a brilliant start in the super-G, the man from the Bernese Oberland did not make the best of a decisive passage before a flatter section and finished seventh, losing 0.63 seconds to the leaders.

"If Franjo confirms his world championship title in the downhill with a win, then of course I had to too," said Odermatt in the SRF interview. "As you can take a lot from the downhill set-up, I knew that it would also work well for the super-G."

From a Swiss perspective, there were also points on Sunday for Stefan Rogentin, who in 16th place already lost a second, Justin Murisier (22nd) and Loïc Meillard (27th).

Super-G globe already (almost) safe

Thanks to his 15th World Cup victory in the Super-G, the third this season after Beaver Creek and Kitzbühel, Odermatt can almost be certain of winning the first crystal globe this season. With just two races to go, the man from Nidwalden leads the discipline rankings by 181 points ahead of Mattia Casse. The Italian is Odermatt's only remaining rival, having also won the Super-G World Cup in his favor in the two previous years. The next super-G will take place on March 9 in Kvitfjell, Norway.

Odermatt also took a big step forward in the overall World Cup in Crans-Montana. A fourth triumph in a row is now out of reach for the 27-year-old. Norway's Henrik Kristoffersen, who only competes in slaloms and giant slaloms, is exactly 500 points behind Odermatt. Loïc Meillard follows in third, 605 points behind.

The next stop in the men's World Cup is Kranjska Gora. A giant slalom is on the program in Slovenia next Saturday and a slalom the following day.
