Tanguy Nef falls back from 2nd to 5th place in the 2nd run and has to wait for the first podium finish of his career. Paco Rassat, 14th after the 1st run, celebrates victory.
Tanguy Nef narrowly misses out on his first podium finish in the World Cup slalom in Gurgl once again. The man from Geneva comes 5th in the race won by Frenchman Paco Rassat. World champion Loïc Meillard is eliminated.
Nef, who was in 2nd place after the first run, was 56 hundredths off the podium. Behind first-time winner Rassat, Belgium's Armand Marchant and Norway's Atle Lie McGrath took 2nd and 3rd place. Alongside Nef, Daniel Yule was the only Swiss skier to finish in the points in eleventh place.
