The Austrian all-rounder, who was recently weakened by a stomach flu after the weekend in Adelboden, suffered a health setback on Thursday night and will therefore not be competing in the super-G on Friday or the slalom on Sunday due to the flu. The downhill on Saturday had already been out of the question for him beforehand. Schwarz already left the Bernese Oberland on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the 30-year-old was still confident about his start. "I'm not at 100 percent yet, but I'm feeling much better," explained Schwarz, who celebrated his first World Cup victory in a speed discipline in the super-G in Livigno shortly before the turn of the year. He also left himself open to competing in the downhill training on Thursday, but had already skipped the first session on Tuesday.

Schwarz, who is in 4th place in the overall World Cup, almost 500 points behind the leader Marco Odermatt, is now concentrating on next week's World Cup highlight in Kitzbühel, where super-G, downhill and slalom are also on the program from Friday.
