Marco Odermatt is the measure of all things in Wengen. He wins the Lauberhorn downhill for the fourth time in a row, making him the sole record winner ahead of Beat Feuz.

Today's SRF expert Beat Feuz won the Lauberhorn Downhill in 2012, 2018 and 2020. On Saturday, Marco Odermatt wins the downhill in Wengen for the fourth time, making him the sole record holder.

The two Lauberhorn legends meet in an interview. Odi says that he found out about the record a few minutes ago. "I almost feel a little guilty because he (Beat Feuz) taught me everything." In terms of podium places, however, he is still ahead, says Feuz, teasing Odermatt.

After the top 15 had crossed the finish line, Odermatt gave his first interview. "The feeling was very good after the run. I crossed the finish line and already thought that I probably couldn't have done it a tenth faster anywhere."

But he doesn't want to be celebrated as the winner just yet. Because at this point Giovanni Franzoni is still at the top. The Italian set the fastest time in both downhill training sessions and won the super-G the day before. And indeed, Franzoni puts in another strong performance and pushes Franjo von Allmen off the podium. In the end, however, Odermatt wins by a superior margin of 0.79 seconds and more.
