Julia Scheib redeems herself for her failure on Saturday and wins the second giant slalom in Mont-Tremblant. Camille Rast put in another good performance, but again just missed out on the podium.

The day before, Scheib was eliminated in the first run with the best split times. On Sunday, she struck back impressively in a duel with the previous day's winner Alice Robinson and celebrated her second victory in the World Cup after her triumph at the start in Sölden.

The 27-year-old overtook the leader Robinson in the decision, who had to settle for third place after a mistake in the lower section of the course. Swedish Olympic champion Sara Hector secured second place and her first podium finish of the season, 57 hundredths behind the winner. The 33-year-old made up five places with the best run time in the decision.

As on Saturday, Camille Rast had to make do with a thankless 4th place. The Valais native was 39 hundredths off her second World Cup podium in the giant slalom.

Having narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 2nd run the day before, Vanessa Kasper was in the running this time. One day before her 29th birthday, she improved by nine positions to 19th place. Wendy Holdener (24th) and Sue Piller (28th) went the other way, dropping seven and eight places respectively after making big mistakes.
