The woman from Graubünden successfully defended her title. She held Aline Danioth at bay by 41 hundredths. Third place was shared by Eliane Christen and Aline Höpli. Wendy Holdener in fifth place missed the podium by twelve hundredths, the world champion Camille Rast was not at the start.
The men's number 1, Loïc Meillard, was also missing, with Reto Mächler taking the gold medal. The 24-year-old was already in the lead after the first run and finished 37 hundredths of a second ahead of second-placed Joel Lütolf. Seven-time World Cup winner Daniel Yule secured bronze.
