The provisional FIS calendar for the Alpine Skiing World Cup includes 83 races next winter, significantly more than in the Olympic winter. Lenzerheide is returning to the women's calendar.
The highlight of next winter will be the World Championships in Crans-Montana (February 1 to 14, 2027). Despite the title fights, eight more races are planned in the World Cup than this season. The men will compete for World Cup points 43 times, the women 40 times.
The traditional men's speed races in Bormio and the women's races in Cortina d'Ampezzo will be held again in the World Cup winter. This season, the races were dropped from the calendar as the Alpine competitions of the Olympic Games are taking place on the Stelvio and Olimpia delle Tofane pistes.
Lenzerheide back on the calendar
As usual, the World Cup will make several stops in Switzerland. The men will compete for points in the traditional races in Adelboden and Wengen in January, while the women will compete in two super-Gs and a giant slalom in St. Moritz shortly before Christmas. Lenzerheide also returns to the calendar. The last time the women raced the World Cup in the Grisons ski resort was in 2022. Now they will compete in two downhill races and a super-G in Lenzerheide directly after the World Championships.
The season, which will start as usual with a giant slalom for both genders in Sölden (October 24-25, 2026), will end with the final in Sun Valley (March 20-25, 2027). The crystal globes for the best athletes of the season were already awarded last winter in the state of Idaho.
The final and official calendars will be confirmed by the FIS Council by spring 2026.
