Lenz Hächler wins a European Cup race for the third time and secures a permanent starting place in the World Cup.

The 21-year-old from Central Switzerland came out on top in the giant slalom in Aal, Norway, ahead of local Oscar Andreas Sandvik and Frenchman Alban Elezi Cannaferina.
With six races to go, Hächler now leads the overall European Cup standings, and with a lead of 88 points and one race to go, victory in the giant slalom is now virtually out of his reach.
The winner of the overall ranking receives a fixed starting place in the World Cup for all disciplines. Hächler has already secured his World Cup ticket in the giant slalom because he can no longer drop out of the top 3.
