Robin Froidevaux was also involved in the battle for the stage win after 182 flat kilometers. The Frenchman had to settle for 5th place. The Italian Antonio Tiberi, winner of Wednesday's queen stage, retained the leader's jersey.
On Friday, the 5th stage of the World Tour event around Dubai (166 km) offers the sprinters a new chance of success. Saturday, on the other hand, promises an exciting battle between Tiberi and his pursuer, the Mexican Isaac Del Toro. The final climb to Jabal Hafit is almost 11 km long with an average gradient of seven percent.
