Stefan Bellmont writes Swiss darts history at the Western European World Championship qualifiers.
The 35-year-old from Zug beat 91 competitors in Kalkar, Germany, and will be the first Swiss player to take part in the World Championships in London in a month's time.
Bellmont overcame a 2:5 deficit in the final against Dutchman Jimmy van Schie and prevailed 7:6 after fending off match darts. The next World Championships will take place from December 15 to January 3 in the legendary Alexandra Palace ("Ally Pally").
