Kloten's captain Steve Kellenberger is ending his career after this season, as the National League club has announced.
The 38-year-old defenseman currently has 822 games in Switzerland's top league, in which he has recorded 51 goals and 121 assists.
With the exception of two seasons with Biel (2012 to 2014), Kellenberger has always remained loyal to Kloten, even when the Zurich Unterlanders played in the Swiss League from 2018 to 2022. He has been the team's captain since 2018. He will remain with the club, but it remains to be seen in what capacity.
