Patrick Fischer has added an offensive player to his squad for the first phase of the World Championship preparations. The national team coach retroactively calls up Marc Marchon from SC Bern to the squad.

Marchon had initially not been considered for the camp due to injury. After further medical examinations, however, the seven-time international was given the green light. He is ready for action and has started his World Championship preparation in Kloten on Monday.

Romain Loeffel, on the other hand, who still has a slight injury, will not join the team until the second week. The Swiss national team has thus begun its preparations with three goalkeepers, eight defenders and 15 forwards.

In addition to several training sessions, the program also includes two test matches against Slovakia in Herisau on Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11.
