Swiss boarders are still waiting for an exploit in snowboard cross this winter. In the women's event, Noémie Wiedmer and Sina Siegenthaler qualified for the semi-finals in Breuil-Cervinia. After the small final, they finished the competition in 5th place (Wiedmer) and 7th place (Siegenthaler).

Bernese Noémie Wiedmer (17) from the Diemtigtal Ski Club impressed in Italy on her World Cup debut. The gold medal winner of the Youth Olympic Games was even ahead of the eventual winner Lea Casta in the semi-final before falling back to last place after a rencontre. In the small final, she celebrated a start/finish victory ahead of France's Julia Pereira de Sousa Mabileau, who has won medals at both the Olympic Games (silver) and the World Championships (bronze).

In the men's event, Valerio Jud was the last Swiss athlete to be eliminated in the quarter-finals. Nevertheless, Jud finished in the top 30 for the sixth time in the World Cup, while Austria's Jakob Dusek celebrated his first World Cup victory since winning World Championship gold in Bakuriani in March 2023.
