In the eleven-goal spectacle between the St. Louis Blues and the Utah Mammoth, Pius Suter scored in the 26th minute to make it 1:4. With his third goal of the season, the Zurich forward started a comeback. The home team came back to 4:5, but were unable to prevent their fourth defeat in their seventh game of the season.

Janis Moser with the Tampa Bay Lightning (2:3 against Chicago) and Nino Niederreiter with the Winnipeg Jets (0:3 against Seattle) were also defeated. For Winnipeg, it was only their second defeat of the season after five recent wins.

Josi and the Predators stop negative streak

There was cause for celebration for Roman Josi's team. After four defeats in a row, the Nashville Predators celebrated another victory with their Bernese captain in a 2:1 win against the Vancouver Canucks. Particularly noteworthy: for the first time in eight head-to-head meetings, the home team came out on top in this pairing.

In the Swiss duel between the Dallas Stars with Lian Bichsel and the Los Angeles Kings with Kevin Fiala, the latter came out on top. Los Angeles won 3:2 away from home after overtime. Fiala was credited with an assist in the Kings' 1-0 win.

Now San Jose is no longer winless either

Philipp Kurashev was out for the second game in a row. Without the Swiss forward, the San Jose Sharks celebrated their first win of the season in a 6-5 overtime victory against the New York Rangers. Super talent Macklin Celebrini was the outstanding man of the game for the Sharks with three goals and two assists.
