The Swiss men, who have already qualified for the semi-finals, conclude the preliminary round at the European Curling Championships in Lohja, Finland, with a commanding victory against Norway.
Pablo Lachat-Couchepin, Sven Michel, skip Yannick Schwaller and Benoît Schwarz-Van Berkel overcame the last hurdle in the round robin without any major problems. After seven ends and a house of three, the CC Geneva team led 8:3; one end later, the Norwegians gave up at 4:8.
It was the Swiss team's seventh win in their ninth game. It remains to be seen who they will face in the semi-finals on Friday. After finishing 4th last year, the quartet are aiming for their third European Championship medal with this line-up after silver in 2022 and bronze in 2023. A gold medal at a major event is still missing from the palmarès of this year's World Championship silver medallists.
