The Swiss curlers led by skip Corrie Hürlimann have successfully concluded the European Championships in Lohja, Finland, by winning the bronze medal. They beat Norway 8:4 in the match for third place.

Celine Schwizgebel, Stephanie Berset, Marina Loertscher and Hürlimann thus crowned their European Championship debut. The young CC Zug team had surprisingly prevailed at the Swiss Championships against Silvana Tirinzoni's experienced team, which had won the last two European Championship titles.
