Both the women's team with skip Silvana Tirinzoni and the men's team with skip Yannick Schwaller are on course for the title. While the Geneva team (Schwaller) won the first final game against Glarus (skip Marco Hösli) 6:1, the Aarau team (Tirinzoni) had a little more trouble against GC (skip Xenia Schwaller). After an extra end, the 6:5 victory was secured.
This means that the favorites still need a win on Saturday to decide the best-of-3 series in their favor. The champions will also represent Switzerland at the respective world championships.
