Justin Hausheer, Simon Gloor, skip Marco Hösli and Philipp Hösli first had to find their feet in the opening game of the World Championships. The Swiss led 5:1 after four ends, but then the Poles reduced the deficit to 4:5 and even took an 8:5 lead with a stolen house of four. In the seventh end, however, the Swiss scored a house of four to regain the lead (9:8). They never relinquished this lead.

The Swiss will play their second World Championship match on Saturday afternoon (16:00) against Norway.
