The team was led by 35-year-old skip Marc Pfister, who represented Switzerland at three world championships (2015, 2016, 2018) together with his brother Enrico. On the way to their historic triumph, the Philippine team successively defeated Japan, China and South Korea in the final.

The team with the Pfister brothers, Christian Haller and Alain Frei has only been in existence for just over two years. The big goal is to qualify for the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina. To achieve this, the team must survive two more tournaments in the Asian qualifiers.
