The Swiss biathlon relay team finishes in 7th place in Ruhpolding. Sebastian Stalder, Niklas Hartweg, Jeremy Finello and Joscha Burkhalter thus achieve the best relay result of the season.
The quartet could probably have gone even further. After eight of twelve rounds, before the sixth shooting, Switzerland was in 2nd place. However, a penalty round by Jeremy Finello due to too many misses in the standing stage caused Stalder, Hartweg, Finello and Burkhalter to drop back.
France ultimately came out on top of the rankings. Final skier Eric Perrot won the duel against his rivals from Norway (2nd) and Germany (3rd).
