The Swiss ski jumpers fail to finish higher than 9th in the men's team competition on the large hill at the World Championships in Trondheim.
Yanick Wasser, Simon Ammann, Killian Peier and Gregor Deschwanden left only Kazakhstan and China behind them. They missed out on the final of the best eight by 12.1 points. Deschwanden jumped 128 m and was just among the top 15, while Peier (114 m), Wasser (109.5 m) and Ammann (111.5 m) fell well short.
Slovenia took gold with Lovro Kos, Domen Prevc, Timi Zajc and Anze Lanisek ahead of Austria with Stefan Kraft and Norway.
The qualification on the large hill is scheduled for Friday. The decision on Saturday marks the end of the World Championships for ski jumpers.
