The team of national coach François Gomez lost 67:91 to Turkey one day after the defeat against the hosts.

The Swiss, who were playing in their first European Championship finals since 1956, were already 13:27 behind after the first quarter. After that, the underdogs, with 19-year-old Viktoria Ranisavljevic as their top scorer (14 points), kept up better. They reduced the deficit to ten points in the final quarter, before the Turkish side relied on its best players and extended its lead again.

Switzerland will play their final preliminary round game against France on Saturday.
