The Swiss were 15:16 behind at the break and trailed by as many as three goals in the second half. However, the Swiss team produced a spirited finish to secure a 28:26 victory.

The Czech women finished 14th at the European Championships and (unlike Switzerland) failed to make it through to the main round. The two international matches in Most will serve as preparation for the World Championship play-off in a month's time against Slovakia, who finished 24th at the last European Championship.

The Swiss defeated the Czech Republic for the first time since 2021, only their 3rd win in their 13th international match. Mia Emmenegger scored seven goals from nine attempts.
