Swiss women take another podium place

The Swiss rider outpaced Austria's Mona Mitterwallner on the final climb. The superior winner Puck Pieterse from the Netherlands and the World Cup leader Samara Maxwell from Australia were out of reach at this point.

There was no tactical riding on the physically demanding course. Nicole Koller initially held back a little and only turned up the heat towards the end "until I saw some stars", as she said in the SRF interview. She kept the streak going for the Swiss women, who have now won a World Cup podium place in the short track for the eighth time in a row. Nicole Koller is currently the best-ranked Swiss woman in the World Cup.

The Swiss men did not quite keep up on the technically very easy course on the last steep ramp - the 53 m difference in altitude had to be conquered ten times. Lars Forster and Fabio Püntener had to make do with 4th and 5th place. American Christopher Blevins also won the fourth short track race of the season.
