The Swiss women win their second game at the Euro Hockey Tour in Kloten against the Czech Republic 2:1 on penalties. Lara Stadler scored both Swiss goals.
The team leader was personally responsible for Colin Muller's team being able to make up for Thursday's false start (1:4 against Sweden). Lara Stalder equalized the Czech team's lead from the first period nine and a half minutes before the end. The Zug striker was then the only one to score in the penalty shoot-out. Saskia Maurer in the Swiss goal, however, could not be beaten.
The Swiss field hockey players won against the Czech Republic for the first time after six defeats in a row. With a win against Finland on Saturday, who are still without points, they could now finish the first tournament of the newly introduced Euro Hockey Tour for women in 2nd place.
