The Swiss women's floorball team will face Sweden at the World Championships in Ostrava on Saturday evening. The defending champions had no trouble in the quarter-finals, beating Latvia 16:3.

After their unchallenged 14:1 victory over Slovakia in the quarter-finals, the task ahead could not be more difficult for the Swiss. The Swedes have won every World Championship title since 2007, and Switzerland have only won one of their 70 encounters with the Scandinavians to date. The other semi-final will pit Finland against the hosts, the Czech Republic.
