The Swiss women curlers are on course at the World Championships in Uijeongbu, South Korea. The team led by skip Silvana Tirinzoni defeated the Swedes 11:7 and reached the semi-finals early.
A house of four in the ninth end laid the foundation for the tenth win in the eleventh game. The Swedes then decided not to continue the game.
Silvana Tirinzoni, Alina Pätz, Carole Howald and Selina Witschonke will fight for the medals. After victories, only Canada and South Korea can catch up with Switzerland, who can still wrap up group victory in their match against Denmark on Friday afternoon.
