The Swiss female rifle shooters also make it onto the podium as a team at the World Championships in Cairo.
One day after the men's bronze medal, Nina Christen and Emely and Vivien Jäggi took silver in the three-position competition.
In difficult, windy conditions, the trio were only beaten by the Chinese. The Swiss medal is also remarkable because, in addition to Olympic champion Nina Christen, the Jäggi sisters were two juniors. Vivien is 19 years old, Emely celebrated her 17th birthday just under a month ago.
In the men's individual three-position competition, the three medal winners from the previous day, Fabio Wyrsch, Jan Lochbihler and Christoph Dürr, missed out on a place in the final.
