The clash between the two still winless teams in Group C was groundbreaking: the dream of the 2027 World Cup in Qatar would come to an abrupt end for the team finishing bottom of the group. This prospect seemed to paralyze the Swiss. The visitors fell behind early on and were already 14 points behind at the break. A burden that ultimately weighed too heavily.
