Swiss Olympic has selected the first nine athletes for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, all of them from the world of curling.
Selina Witschonke, Carole Howald, skip Silvana Tirinzoni and Alina Pätz make up the women's team, while Pablo Lachat-Couchepin, Sven Michel, skip Yannick Schwaller and Benoît Schwarz-van Berkel are aiming for a medal in the men's team. Briar Schwaller-Hürlimann and Yannick Schwaller will compete in the mixed doubles.
The quota places are based on the results of the 2024 and 2025 World Championships. The Swiss women won silver twice, having previously become world champions four times in a row. The men also reached the World Championship final this year. In the mixed doubles, it was enough for one of the seven quota places awarded so far, although Pätz/Michel did not make it past 11th place this year. This was thanks to the 4th place of Schwaller-Hürlimann/Schwaller last year.
