After seven editions, the Citius Meeting in Bern will be discontinued. This was announced by the organizing committee on Sunday.

The reason given was the high cost - both in terms of time and money - that the young organizing committee could no longer cope with on a voluntary basis. These circumstances had already made it impossible to hold the event last year. After a new attempt was made this summer, the organizers are now drawing a line in the sand.
Since 2018, the international meeting in the Wankdorf athletics stadium has been an integral part of the Swiss athletics scene.
