The Giro d'Italia, which started in Albania this year, will be launched in Bulgaria in 2026, the organizer has announced. The first of the three grand tours will take place from May 9 to 31.

The Giro will start from abroad for the 16th time in its history, a development that has accelerated since 2010, with starts for three stages from the Netherlands (2010, 2016), Denmark (2012), Great Britain (2014), Israel (2018), Hungary (2022) and Albania (2025).
