The Swiss national ice hockey team will play three international matches at home as part of their World Championship preparations.
To kick off the preparations, Switzerland will face Slovakia in Herisau on April 10 and 11. The following week, two tests against France are scheduled in Marseille, followed by two more away games against Latvia in Riga on April 24 and 25.
After the six test games in April, Patrick Fischer's team will play the breakout game of the Czech Hockey Games against Sweden on Thursday, May 1. The game will take place in Switzerland, with the venue still to be decided. After that, the two other games of the last tournament of the Euro Hockey Tour will be played against Finland (May 3) and the Czech Republic (May 4) in Brno.
World champions the Czech Republic are also Switzerland's first group opponents at the World Championships in Sweden and Denmark on May 9. Switzerland will play its preliminary round matches in Herning.
