The Thunder led by up to ten points in the first phase of the fifth game, but then fell behind and were only able to make up for it in the final three-and-a-half minutes.

Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was once again the Thunder's most successful scorer with 31 points. In the end, even 44 points from center Nikola Jokic were of no use to the Nuggets. The sixth game will take place in Denver on Friday night.

For the Cleveland Cavaliers, the quarter-finals were the last stop. The best team of the regular season in the East lost the series against the Indiana Pacers 1:4.

The Pacers secured their second semi-final qualification in a row with a 114-105 win. The team from Indianapolis thus achieved the feat of also winning the third away game of this quarter-final.

The Pacers clinched their fourth victory thanks to a comeback. They had trailed by as many as 19 points in the first half of the game, but then took control of the game more and more as time went on.

In the semi-final, the Pacers will face either the New York Knicks or the reigning champions Boston Celtics. The Knicks lead the series 3:1.
