Two and a half months before the start of this year's Tour de Suisse, all the stage locations have been decided. The race will start on June 15 in Küssnacht am Rigi and finish seven days later in Emmetten.

Unlike last year, the 88th Tour of Switzerland will not start with a prologue. It will start with a hilly circuit around the Rigi.

The double start on Monday and Tuesday in Aarau will lead to the finishes in Schwarzsee and Heiden respectively. The hilly stages are predestined for both sprinters and breakaways. The fourth day takes the riders over the 2113 meter high Splügen Pass to Italy with the finish in Piuro.

The following day is the queen stage from La Punt in the Upper Engadine to Santa Maria in the Münstertal. Almost 4,000 meters in altitude, two Alpine passes - the Julier and San Bernardino - and two steep final climbs to Santa Maria will decide the day's winner.

After a detour from Chur to Neuhausen am Rheinfall and from there to Emmetten at the start of the second weekend, the final stage follows on June 22 with a challenging mountain time trial from Beckenried up to the Stockhütte.
