HC Davos is already five points clear at the top of the National League table again. The Davos team won 6:4 in Ambri after trailing twice.
Ambri-Piotta initially led Davos 3:2 and then again 4:3 in the final period. HCD managed to turn the game around within 106 seconds. Matej Stransky (4:4) and Simon Knak (5:4) put the Grisons back in front. Tino Kessler secured Davos' eleventh win in the twelfth game with a shot into the empty net in the 59th minute.
Turnaround
And Ambri-Piotta no longer understood what was going on: in the 46th minute, Chris DiDomenico escaped from Davos while short-handed. DiDomenico stormed towards the Davos goal, possibly with his first goal of the season in sight. Then he was pulled off his feet. The penalty that should have been awarded was not. And a little later, Stransky made it 4:4 at the other end.
Ambri's mercenaries Chris DiDomenico (-3) and Tim Heed (-2) now rank 341 (DiDomenico) and 342 (Heed) in the plus/minus statistics. The two now occupy the last two places in the National League.
