At the European Figure Skating Championships in Sheffield, Kimmy Repond and Livia Kaiser skated to 6th and 9th place. Both Swiss skaters will also be competing in the free skate.
Neither of them managed a perfect short program. For Kimmy Repond (19), the first vault element (flip) did not make it into the judging, and Livia Kaiser also fluffed a vault element.
Repond was competing in her first competition of the season after an eight-month injury break. Accordingly, she should be happy with her x. She should therefore be quite satisfied with her ninth place and qualification for the final group (first 6).
For Kaiser, who missed out on the European Championships a year ago (because a training colleague slashed her calf two days before her departure) and finished 23rd at the World Championships, the top 10 place is also a great success.
