Lausanne celebrates its sixth home win in a row in the National League. The Vaud team defeated the SCL Tigers 6-4 thanks to two late goals.

Lausanne almost gave away what they thought was a certain victory after two periods. The Vaud team squandered a 4:1 lead in the final period. Langnau scored three times in less than nine minutes on the power play through Harri Pesonen and top scorer Andre Petersson, who scored to make it 1:3, 3:4 and 4:4. The equalizer came in the 57th minute.

The comeback went unrewarded, however, because Lausanne also had a three-goal scorer in its ranks in Erik Brännström. The Swedish defenseman scored the first two goals and, above all, the 5:4 94 seconds before the final buzzer, when Pesonen was on the penalty bench for obstructing the goalie. The 6:4 was scored with a shot into the empty net.

The SCL Tigers will have the opportunity for revenge on Sunday in front of their own crowd. Before that, they will host the ZSC Lions on Saturday.
