The two goalies Stéphane Charlin and Ludovic Waeber, the defensemen Tobias Geisser and Romani Loeffel as well as the forwards Enzo Corvi, Tyler Moy, Théo Rochette and Tristan Scherwey will not be able to make the roster. The following players will replace the absentees in the now 26-man squad: goalies Sandro Aeschlimann and Gilles Senn, defenseman Lukas Frick and forwards Marc Marchon, Fabian Ritzmann, Yanick Sablatnig and Jonas Taibel. For Ritzmann from SC Bern, Sablatnig from EHC Biel and Taibel from Rapperswil-Jona, this is their first call-up to the senior national team.

Switzerland will play Finland on Thursday in Langnau. The other games will take place in Stockholm, first on Saturday against the hosts Sweden, then on Sunday against the Czech Republic.
